Pressure of Human Feet


Example: Average person

Weight: 180 pounds
Area of one sole of foot: 30 square inch
Area of both soles of feet: 60 square inch

Pressure = Force/Area

Standing on Both Feet (smaller pressure)
P = 180/60 = 3 psi

Standing on One Foot (Bigger Pressure)
P = 180/30 = 6 psi
